Portfolio Tribu/s du monde #2
India, Odisha
The photos were taken in India, in 2012.

To give life to this project, Anne de Vandière created the association Tribus du Monde.
By exhibiting portraits and testimonies, thought their hands and faces, of men and women from different ethnicities/tribes, threaten by the world’s affairs, the photography emphasises the fragility and the precariousness of their situation.
It shows the extraordinary abundance of their skills and the importance of their transmission philosophy.

With each sale, a percentage is given to the Tribus du monde charity. The association was able to help a young girl to finish her agronomy studies. It contributed to the build of a small wheat processing cooperative with the Bassari at the Mali borders. It allowed protecting the Maardoowarra sacred river in Aborigines land in Australia…
